National Indigenous History Month
In June, Canadians celebrate National Indigenous History Month to honour the history, heritage and diversity of Indigenous peoples in Canada. It is also an opportunity to recognize the strength of present-day Indigenous communities
The Northern Sport, Culture and Recreation District, is celebrating the diverse and rich history of the Aboriginal groups that have lived in Northern Saskatchewan since time immemorial. In partnership with MBC, the NSCRD is profiling Northern Elders as part of National Indigenous History Month.
We asked our elders what is one thing you would like to share with youth today…. here are their responses.
