Overview

We all know there are benefits to working together to provide sport, culture & recreation opportunities in our communities.  By working together, we can encourage healthy lifestyles; provide positive opportunities for youth; attract visitors to your community; help build stronger links within the community; make the community visually attractive; and attract business and economic development.  All of which contribute to an increase in quality of life in Northern Saskatchewan.

Theme

Come together, right now!  We are challenging you to develop a creative, original video that can be shared on social media.  The focus is on successful examples of programming sport, culture & recreation opportunities through community partnerships. 

Eligibility

Review the Contest Rules.  The NSCRD Partnership Video Contest is open to all residents within the Northern Sport, Culture & Recreation District Boundaries.

Purpose of Contest

To promote the delivery of sport, culture & recreation programs using a community development approach to engage multiple partners within the community.

How will the videos be used

Qualified video entries will be linked to the nscrd.com website where visitors can watch them.  Winning videos (as determined by NSCRD) will be embedded on nscrd.com and shared via social media and electronic communication tools.

Deadline

All entries must be submitted to NSCRD by 5:00pm, Friday, March 3rd, 2017.

Format

We welcome original productions such as video clips, music videos or mashups.  Videos should be a maximum of two minutes in length.  If you are submitting multiple videos, each entry must be submitted separately.

Judging

We are looking for strong examples of ways in which community organizations have worked together, possible barriers they have overcome, and the success they achieved.  Submissions will be judged on innovation, creativity and impact of their message.  Judging will begin after the entry deadline.  Winners will be announced in March 2017.

Prizes

First Place: $1800 gift certificate for Flaman’s Fitness

Second Place: $500 gift certificate for Source for Sports

General Conditions

All footage must be originally created and/or obtained with legal permission.  All entries become the property of NSCRD.  Entrants grant the right to use their names, photographs and video submissions for advertising, publicity, and promotion purposed.  By entering this contest, entrants agree to abide by these contest rules.

Entry

Complete the Video Submission Form.  Post your video entry on YouTube and include a link to your video in the entry form.
